General information only
The content of this site is patient education. It describes what makes a nose read wide, which structures are responsible, what can and cannot change them, and what treatment costs in recovery and risk. It is not a diagnosis, it is not a treatment recommendation for any individual, and it does not create a doctor-patient relationship.
No substitute for examination
Whether treatment is appropriate for you depends on findings that can only be established by examining you: the width of your bony vault, the span of your alar base at rest and on movement, the definition of your tip, the state of your airway, and how the nose relates to the rest of your face. Reading this site cannot substitute for that, and a decision made from a website alone is a decision made without information.
Results vary and are not guaranteed
Individual results differ, and in the nose the thickness of the bone and the quality of the skin are two reasons they differ so much between people. Healing takes months and the appearance continues to settle for longer than most people expect. No surgeon, and no website, can guarantee an outcome, and any statement that appears to promise one should be treated with suspicion wherever you encounter it.
If something is wrong after treatment
If you have had treatment and develop rapidly increasing swelling, a tense painful area, spreading redness, fever, bleeding that does not stop, a change in your breathing, or a loss of vision or severe eye pain, contact the treating team or seek emergency care immediately rather than waiting to be seen at a routine appointment.
